Crash test of Freedom 125 How well did Freedom 125 hold up in a frontal collision?
Bajaj Freedom 125 underwent a frontal collision test by colliding with a 1.5-tonne object. You can consider this object as an average mid-size SUV. The bike collided with this 1.5-tonne object while running at 60 kmph.
CNG vehicles give more mileage and their running cost is also less. But these vehicles bring security risks with them. That is why Bajaj showed that its new CNG bike has passed a stringent crash test. The company has tested the strength of this bike by hitting it in the front and driving a truck over it.
After a thorough inspection, it was determined that the collision did not cause any damage to the CNG tank. It is still securely in place. Additionally, the pressure gauge indicated that there was no leakage of CNG due to the impact.
When Freedom 125 was crushed by a truck
The truck runover test of the Bajaj Freedom 125 was also done. The Freedom 125 endured the weight of a 10-tonne truck passing over it. The wheels of the truck crushed the CNG bike, but there was no scratch or dent on the CNG tank. The bike sustained damage in many places, but its CNG tank remained safe.
We found the pressure gauge in the same condition as before in this case, meaning there was no gas leak. Bajaj has also conducted side impact tests and vertical drop tests, in which the bike performed well.
